The Bajoran Lightship is one of the most complex ships to model. It has huge shimmering sails that eclipse the hull itself, which is big enough for only a couple of crew. Previously the only model available was the Micro Machines Lightship and is much simplified due to it’s minuscule size.
The Eaglemoss model is considerably more accurate. The collection’s project manager has published the first images of the model, due out as issue 18 next year. The model itself is the production version, but the paint job is only the first attempt.
The hull itself is so small the stand covers quite a lot of it, but there really isn’t any other part of the model strong enough. Apparently the model will be delivered with some assembly required to prevent it being damaged in the post.
